This is last of the pictures of this long and drawn out reconstruction of a W114 280CE, which started out as investigation of a poor running engine,then the discovery of some really poor body work and major rust.Then came the flood in 2022 which saw the partially worked on car under 2 meters of water .Then the extent of the rust was discovered and the power train ruined by immersion in flood water. So here are some out of order pictures up to the point where the car was completed.

With the majority of the bodywork completed ,the bare steel was coated in a Epoxy primer to seal it.

most of the body interior was sound proofed.

Fitting up of parts in mock up.

Bonnet painted .

Green base coat applied .

Boot lid rust repair .The skin was removed and the rusted edge repaired.

Door adjusted to fit .
